My NLT
Project Portfolio

Used to Provide a Holistic In-Depth Picture of Student Achievement.

Start Building Your Future, One Project At A Time
Follow your progress with a visual aide of accomplishment as you become a Leader through positive action projects in your community.

Your Project Portfolio will help Parents and Teachers to assess student progress, guide student learning, and motivate students who may prefer a collection of work as evidence of ability rather than standardized or other tests.

Portfolios will contain work which represents all of students projects and leadership qualities and clearly depicts authentic evidence of what the student knows and is able to do. Pictures and Videos are attached to each project to describe what the project is, why it is evidence of students leadership ability, and what it documents.

Additional Examples of a leadership student’s portfolio could include: actual examples of student work such as journal writings, planning documents, research papers, or completed projects; visual evidence such as photographs, videotapes, and attestations or written documents written by someone else about the student’s work; productions which are produced especially for the portfolio to demonstrate competence, such as teacher observations and student self-evaluations.

Simplifying the Process
In an effort to simplify the creation of your Project Portfolio, Your NLT Members Area provides a powerful solution for Project Portfolio Creation. At the click of a button, you can import all details of your recorded projects on the site into a printable format that you can use for social proof of your leadership ability and training.

Use it to get ahead in school, to get accepted into a great school, to land that great job, to excel in your current job, or just for yourself as a challenge and a sense of satisfaction and purpose. Many Project Portfolios are used as a tool for simply tracking results and celebrating wins along the way.

Rules...(or Guidelines) For You To Engage In A PBLT Project
  1. Every project must require the participant to involve one or more people in the endeavor.
  2. Every project must require some kind of benefit to something or someone in the community.
  3. Ideally, each project is chosen by the participant, the exception being projects that require several students and/or projects organized by the group leader.
  4. The initial project shouldn’t be a complicated one –and ought to involve no more than an hour or two of work (1-2 months for the first project and shouldn't take any more than 3-4 months between projects after that).
  5. Every project is to be documented in your NLT team's Project Portfolio.

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the wonderful impact you've had in Walker's life... He looks up to you [and the others in the NLT] with great respect and works hard on the leadership program goals you've established together. Thanks again and keep up your great work.

"Since starting my Leadership  [NLT] Journey, I've gained a new self image though goal setting, personal development, and body re-shaping and lost 50lbs. "

- Jen Stough

"The Leadership Quest Program has done a fantastic job boosting the confidence of my son. He feels more comfortable and self assured than he has ever been in the past. Abbott has also developed greater strength and flexibility through goal setting. I highly encourage others to join this program!"

"Clara's experience with the Leadership Quest Program has been very positive. Although we can see some very positive changes in many ways, there was one incident that spoke volumes to us; we had spoken to Clara's current teacher during open house and she was telling us how much Clara participates in class and raises her hand all the time. Until she set that goal, every teacher prior had told us how quiet and reserved she was!"

- Tami Schroeder
(Clara's Mother)

"...Its been amazing to watch our youngest daughter transform from a shy 5 year-old to a confident 9 year old. She has experienced the satisfaction that comes with overcoming one's fears to achieve your goals.
We have also witnessed a remarkable level of focus and determination in our older daughter. She has become goal oriented and has worked very hard for her multiple achievements...
We are very pleased with the [NLT] Leadership Program. Not only does Mr. Engels teach the skills needed to advance in martial arts, through this website and this program, he is helping to mold our children into responsible citizens. His leadership program focuses on the development of positive character traits through lessons involving goal-setting and community service projects... The Leadership Program comes highly recommended by all members of the Raykovich family!"

- Tom and Susan Raykovich
(Nikki and Jessie's Parents)
Nikki and Jessie are both
Leadership Quest Students
